Service Description
A 10 week positive parenting outcomes wānanga for whānau with tamariki aged 0 - 5. Whānau will engage in kaupapa māori, wānanga style sessions to enhance their abilities to provide safe environments and healthy habits for their tamariki and whānau.
Positive Parenting Wānanga
Maioha te Mana Mōuri is a 10-wek kaupapa Māori parenting programme for whānau with tamariki aged 0-5. Grounded in the concept of Mauri Moe, Mauri Oho, Mauri Ora, whānau are supported to move from unrealised potential, to awakening and growth, towards reaching their full potential.
The programme is a kaupapa Māori initiative designed to support the prevention of child abuse and violence, while promoting positive parenting outcomes. Through engaging in tātai taonga and wānanga-style sessions, whānau are supported to strengthen their ability to create safe, nurturing environments and foster healthy habits for their tamariki through tuaka teina.
